tina                                 Dear Parents,                first grade and fabulous

I would like to tell all of you how happy I am to have your child in my class this year.  We will be doing many exciting things this year.  I look forward to working with you as parents to make this a great year.

Now, let me explain a few of my class policies and information.

I will send homework home on Mondays.  This will be for the entire week. There will be a sheet attached that tells what day each assignment is to be turned in. I do it this way so that your child has the chance to complete it all if you know there is a certain day or days that will be busy that week.

APPLEReward/Discipline Policy

We will be continuing with our RTI2 program this year at MES that focuses on rewarding positive behavior of our students. It will be based on a point system. The students will be able to earn points during the day based on their positive behaviors.  The students will have many different opportunities to “spend” their points during each nine weeks for certain rewards. I will also continue to have a classroom discipline policy as well. I will be discussing our school and classroom rules with the students. They will know what is expected of them. Our discipline policy is as such; 1st rule broken-warning; 2nd rule broken- miss 5 min. of playtime; 3rd rule broken- miss 15 min. of playtime; 4th rule broken- miss all playtime; 5th rule broken- office referral.

If you ever have any questions, suggestions, or concerns about anything, please don’t hesitate to contact me. You can do so by; sending a note in your child’s folder, email- albanezk@hardemancountyschools.org,or calling the school (376-0160).

I’m looking forward to a great year with your child!

                                                   Sincerely,

                                                       Mrs. Tina Albanez
