Welcome to Fourth Grade!

Hi! My name is Linda McTizic. I will be your child’s fourth grade teacher. The subjects that I teach are Science and Social Studies.  I have been teaching at Middleton Elementary for 13 years. I am married and a mother of two daughters. I am so excited about this school year!  We will learn many things in Science and Social Studies and do fun projects throughout the school year!

In fourth grade, we will switch classes for the different subjects.  Mrs. Kimberly will be teaching Math. Mrs. Lisa will be teaching Reading. As teachers, we will work very closely together, as a team, to make sure every student is successful in our classrooms.

HOMEWORK: Please check your child’s planner for homework assignments every night.  It is the child’s responsibility to write the assignment in the planner and take home the necessary material to complete the assignment.

CLASSROOM RULES: Students will ROAR in the classroom!

R-Students will be Respectful in that they use kind words, listen when the teacher is speaking, and stay in their seats.

O-Students will be Outstanding in that they go above and beyond what is expected of them. They will try their best at all times!

A-Students will be Accountable in that they will follow directions and use their time wisely.

R-Students will be Responsible in that they have their supplies ready for class and are ready to work!

We are going to have so much fun this year!  I look forward to watching your child grow!

love 4th grade     Welcome to the fourth grade.       lisa

I am Lisa Lanier and so excited for this school year.

I am originally from Michigan and moved to Florida when I was 13.  I attended the University of Florida and The University of Central Florida.  I moved to Middleton in 1999. I have taught first, third, and fourth grade in the past. I have been married for almost 11 years and have 1 step-daughter:  both of whom are my world. I now teach ELA-reading, spelling and language. I expect my students to be the best they can be each and everyday; trying hard and putting their best foot forward in everything they do.  I will in turn be the best teacher I can be; putting my students first in all that I do.

In fourth grade we will be changing classes.  Mrs. Kimberly Borden teaches math and Mrs. Linda McTizic teaches social studies and math, and I teach ELA.  Homework can be given on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. The students will have spelling worksheets each week for homework.  Spelling Tests and Fluency checks will be given on Friday. Each nine weeks students will be required to earn 10 AR points. Students will be responsible for writing homework in their planners and bringing home the necessary materials.  Please check planners each night.

Our classroom/school rules are

ROAR- Be respectful, be outstanding, be accountable and be responsible.  Students will be able to earn tickets/dojo points in the classroom and around the school for doing the right things.  Points will be able to be turned in for various activities and prizes.  roar
